Getting Started

Set up your FrontdeQ AI receptionist and start taking calls in minutes.

FrontdeQ is an AI-powered receptionist for salons that answers phone calls, remembers your clients, books appointments in Square, and handles every interaction with the personality and knowledge of your best front-desk person.

Quick Start

  1. Sign up at app.frontdeq.com
  2. Connect Square to give the AI access to your services, team, and calendar
  3. Configure your business name, greeting, and custom instructions
  4. Choose a voice for your receptionist
  5. Forward your phone to the provisioned number

Your AI receptionist is now live. Every inbound call will be answered, and bookings will appear directly in your Square calendar.

How It Works

When a call comes in:

  1. The AI greets the caller with your custom greeting, using the personality you defined
  2. It looks up the caller's phone number in Square to recognize returning clients
  3. It recalls their preferences, past visits, and personal details from previous calls
  4. It understands what the caller wants (book, reschedule, cancel, ask a question)
  5. It checks real-time availability in your Square calendar
  6. It books the appointment and sends an SMS confirmation
  7. After the call, it extracts and saves any new details the client shared for next time

Customize Your Receptionist

FrontdeQ lets you shape your AI receptionist across three layers:

  • Personality — Define the tone, warmth, and communication style. Is your salon upscale and polished, or relaxed and friendly? Your receptionist matches.
  • Procedures — Set the rules for how it handles bookings, reschedules, cancellations, pricing questions, and escalations. Your workflows, not generic scripts.
  • Salon Knowledge — Tell it about your staff, their specialties, your policies, parking instructions, FAQs, and anything a great receptionist would know after months on the job.

Edit all three from your dashboard at any time. Changes take effect on the next call.

Client Memory

After every call, FrontdeQ automatically remembers the important things your clients share:

  • Preferences — "prefers Maria for color", "likes mornings"
  • Relationships — "referred by Jessica", "always books with Alex"
  • Life events — "getting married in October", "just moved to the area"

  1. Every call scored: A nightly evaluation scores each call on 7 dimensions — greeting quality, tone adaptation, intent resolution, booking execution, memory usage, upselling, and compliance
  2. Patterns identified: The system looks across all calls to find recurring issues — questions callers keep asking that the AI can't answer, tone mismatches, missed upsell opportunities
  3. Improvements proposed: Specific changes to your receptionist's personality, procedures, or knowledge are drafted automatically, with clear rationale and the number of calls affected
  4. You decide: Review suggestions in your Call Quality dashboard. Accept with one click to apply the change, or dismiss. Every accepted change is version-tracked.
